We spent a lot of 2025 figuring out where we wanted to take StreetRelease. Through the meets we attended, the clothing we worked on and the people we met, we started getting a better idea of what people connected with—and what we wanted to do more of.
Seeing someone turn up wearing one of our tees, or come over to ask what we were working on next, meant a lot. We were getting to know the people supporting us, and those conversations helped shape what came next.
After attending Cars & Coffee at Eddie Irvine Sports twice in 2025, we had the opportunity to officially partner with them for the 2026 event. We already knew the setting and had a feel for the day, so it was exciting to have more of a hand in putting it together.
We wanted to bring a good selection of local cars together and give people a reason to stay for a while. Somewhere to catch up with friends, meet a few new faces and take a proper look around.
There was also a chance to bring more of StreetRelease into the event. A stand gives people a much better feel for the clothing than a photo on their phone. They can pick something up, look at the print and talk to us about it. Having that alongside the cars and people that influence what we make felt like a good fit.
The months leading up to it were busy. Between working on content, developing clothing designs and organising the meet, we had plenty to keep us occupied. Ideas were coming quicker than we could get them finished, and a few had to stay on the list for another time.
That’s been a fairly familiar part of building StreetRelease. We get excited about where we could take it, then have to work out what we can realistically get done. This event gave us something to work towards and a chance to bring those different parts together in person.
We spend so much time making things to share online that it was good to have a day where people could come over, see what we’d been working on and have a conversation with us. Cars might be how we first get talking, but those connections have become a big part of why we keep doing this.
Thank you to the team at Eddie Irvine Sports for having us involved, and to everyone who brought a car, visited the stand or spent part of their day with us. We hope you enjoyed it.
We’ll leave the rest to the photos. We’re still more comfortable behind a camera than a keyboard.
